Google Expeditions VR Portable Kits Training

Description

SWWC Service Cooperative has been awarded a grant from Minnesota Telemedia for two sets of Google Expedition Kits for use by K-12 schools that are members of SWWC and one kit that can be used by the Higher Education Institutions in the SHOT Higher Education Telecommunications Network Consortium. Each kit consists of a teacher device and 30 student devices. Members of both SWWC and SHOT will be able to "borrow" these kits for use in their schools free of charge, with the exception of shipping costs when necessary.

The kits are completely self contained and very easy to share among multiple classrooms in a school, multiple schools in a district, or multiple districts throughout the region. During this three hour training, Tierney will provide training on the use of the Google Expedition Kits and SWWC staff will outline the process for schools to reserve and obtain kits for use in their schools.

This training is FREE to all members of SWWC Service Cooperative and the SHOT Higher Education Telecommunications Network Consortium. Participation is limited to the first 60 registered attendees only.
