Marissa Erdman
Marissa and her husband (Randy) have 4 children that keep them very busy. As a family they love to stay active by camping, exploring state parks, playing any sport, and conquering the next cool playground. A huge passion of hers is soccer. In her spare time, you can find her playing or coaching her kids’ teams. Since both Marissa and her husband attended NDSU, her household bleeds Green and Gold, GO BISON!

Bachelor's Degree in English and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College. Teaching license in 5-12 communication arts/literature from Minnesota State Mankato. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching from Minnesota State Mankato.
Sarah Neu
Sarah and her husband have two daughters along with their miniature schnauzer, Klaus. When she’s not teaching, she spends her time trying to keep up with her young kids. Their favorite thing to do together is to go camping and spend time outside. On her own time, she likes to read, kayak, go for walks, and take photos. This year is her 6th year teaching and 3rd year with STARRS Online Academy.

I am originally from the South of France. I lived in Madrid, Spain for two years before moving to the United States where I completed a degree in Spanish. I taught a combination of French and Spanish at a public high school in San Antonio, Texas for twenty-six years. I moved to Edina, Minnesota two years ago. I have two children: Marielle, 27, a machine learning engineer for Nike, and Francois, 21, student and waiter at a restaurant in San Antonio. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd. I love the outdoors and I am very active: running, road biking, hiking, traveling and cooking.

Eric Nelson
Eric has been teaching for 24 years. Currently, he is in his third year of teaching with Starrs Online Academy. When he isn't teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea and their dog Percy. Eric is an avid runner and devoted fan of Minnesota sports.
