The law of Section 504 continues to evolve and change.  This seminar is designed to give you practical ways to:

  • evaluate a student,
  • make an eligibility determination,
  • write a plan and avoid legal issues.

Our primary outcomes will include learning the pattern for evaluation and eligibility determination and spotting the legal issues under Section 504.

We will also discuss recent cases that involve sports, before and after school care, dyslexia & reading, nurses' role in 504 & health plans and much more!

Presenter: Laura Tubbs Booth, Booth Law Group LLC - Laura has represented public sector clients in administrative, state and federal court proceedings for over 25 years.  She has had the opportunity to represent clients in several Federal District Court and 8th Circuit Court of Appeals cases that have shaped education law in Minnesota.
