Braille Literacy Training: Intensive Effective Specialized Instruction for Students who are Blind with Unique Learning Challenges
This workshop provides meaningful instructional strategies to teach students who are braille/tactile learners and have additional learning challenges. The strategies provide teachers and team members with specific interventions and strategies that make a difference in student results.
Braille/tactile literacy including reading, writing, and tactile graphics is emphasized, such as tactile letter recognition, beginning reading strategies, and comprehension. Other topics meaningful to learning include receptive and expressive language and behavior, sensory effects, and motor development. Collaboration and inclusive educational practices will be included.

Cancellations must be received by 4:30 p.m. on November 17, 2017 to qualify for a full refund, after which all registrations are final and no refunds will be issued. Substitution of attendees from the same district/organization will be allowed up to the day of the event. In the event a workshop is cancelled by the Service Cooperative, a full refund will be given. An email address that is accessed often must be included when registering to ensure receipt of any cancellation notifications.
