Need a personal spell checker? Push your computer aside and come see the region's preeminent spellers respond to the pressure of competition as they use their incredible spelling acumen and memory to dissect and spell some arduous words.
The Spelling Bee Program is designed to help students improve their spelling skills and increase their vocabulary development; giving students encouragement as they build confidence. The Spelling Bee is a series of spelling contests starting at the local school and district level with winners advancing to the regional event. Regional winners then participate in the Multi-Region State Spelling Bee with that winner advancing to the National Spelling Bee. The champion of our Multi-Region Spelling Bee will win an all-expenses-paid trip (including one adult) to compete in the 2017-18 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC held May – June 2018.
    Target Audience - Grades 5-8
