In order to assist our member districts in complying with the MDE fiscal monitoring findings, we will be providing training for business managers.  It is very important that all business managers attend this training as it will provide your district guidance and assistance in developing the procedures/processes necessary to achieve successful submission approval from MDE.  Failure to comply with the required changes can result in a loss of funds for your district.  Superintendents are welcome to attend if they desire.

Things you need to bring:

You will need to bring to this training your district’s current financial processes and procedures.  It will be helpful if you put these on a flash drive so you can make adjustments that day. Sufficient worktime will be provided so that business managers will be able to leave with updated procedures and forms. Each superintendent received his/her district’s fiscal monitoring report which will provide you information on the areas that were monitored and will need correction.   Please bring this report to the training.
