Special Ed Boot Camp 2015 - Redwood Falls

Description

Special Education is an important, but complicated part of schools, bound by a number of legal obligations.  Teachers entering the field of special education are faced with tasks that are unlike any they have previously practiced.  It is important that new teachers have the skills and understanding of the job ahead.  These teachers are often the front line of defense when districts face conflicts with parents.  This Boot Camp will offer high intensity training to help provide entry level teachers with the very basics necessary to do their jobs.  The two days will be filled with real-life scenarios and opportunities to practice, interact and role play a number of scenarios teachers face on a day-to-day basis.

Following completion, participants should continue as a member of our Newer Special Ed Teacher Cohort for continued support during the remainder of the year.

Target Audience:  Teachers who are practicing on a variance or others with virtually no experience in Special Education

Registration Deadline:  July 28, 2015

CEUs:  11 clock hours for both days.
