Directions from Country Inn & Suites to the State Capitol

MASA Region 3 administrators are asked to meet with legislators on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Wednesday, March 22

5:00pm: Arrive and check-in at the Country Inn & Suites, 6003 Hudson Rd., Woodbury, MN.          

5:30pm: Informal meeting and social reception with MASA Lobbyist Valerie Dosland and Minnesota Service Cooperative Lobbyist Sam Walseth. Valerie and Sam will share their insights into the legislative session and review key MASA talking points and the MASA legislative platform.

7:00pm: Dinner with invited guests at the Green Mill Restaurant (attached to the hotel). Dinner for MASA members courtesy of SWWC Service Cooperative.

Thursday, March 23

7:30am: Breakfast with legislative discussion at hotel

8:30am: Depart for Capitol

8:45am: Meet Joe Gould on main floor of State Office Building

9am - 10:10am in Room 400N State Office Bldg.

• 9am Rep. Erickson; 9:30am Rep Marquart; 9:45am Rep Loon

10:10am - 10:25am in Room 206 State Capitol

• Senator Wiger

10:30am - 11am in Room 3414 MN Senate Building

• 10:30am Senator Pratt, 11am Senator Nelson 

12:00pm: Lunch (on your own)

1:00pm: Small group/Individual meetings with local legislators (scheduled by you)

As in previous years, this is the only time our region is being asked to travel to the Capitol and meet with legislators. These visits will be a good opportunity to continue to share ideas and concerns and build relationships with our legislators for the future.
