Description: High school student achievement shouldn’t be measured only by college enrollment, but also by college completion and employment success. Now there is source of user-friendly data about students in your community that can provide valuable insights about your future workforce. This interactive session will give high school counselors, principals and community leaders the opportunity to explore data about their school using the new SLEDS database and Graduate Employment Outcomes Tools, among others. You will also be presented with current labor market information that can be shared with students, teachers and parents. These tools will help you understand:
Pathways: How your high school students move between K-12/Higher Education/Workforce.
Progress: Which colleges your students choose and how many enroll in developmental education.
Predictors: The characteristics, patterns, or commonalities that help explain which of your students achievement successful outcomes.
Performance: How well education and workforce are aligned for individual success.
