AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT SUPPORT
Through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education, the SW/WC Service Cooperative has School Improvement Specialists to work with school and district teams identified as not meeting AYP. It is our overall responsibility to deliver assistance directly to schools and districts. Our role is to increase capacity and improve student achievement. This includes developing and implementing required improvement plans and providing technical assistance to schools and districts in Stage 1.1 or higher. The current grant runs from July 1st, 2011 through December 31st, 2011.
Specifically, the School Improvement Specialists will assist with the following:

Needs assessment

Data analysis and goal setting

Capacity building for leadership teams

School and district improvement plan development or updates
-
Review of plans
